ORC Sailing Association begun the year 2017 by finalizing an agreement with D-Marin who will sponsor 5 Cup regattas (not including the Easter Regatta that is sponsored by PBZ - Privredna banka Zagreb).
This will cover almost all of the expenses of the regattas and sailors (members of the CRO ORC Sailing Association) will be free from paying Entry Fees.
Berthing the boats in the host-marinas will be fee-free the day before the regatta and during the regatta, and all of the participants of the regattas in Šibenik's Mandalina Marina within D-Resort will have a discount for accommodation.
Easter Regatta has been fee-free for years, a tradition that is continued in this year.
This year, the ORC Cup is extended to include sailboats that only have ORC Club certificate.
Regattas for sailboats that have the ORC Club and those that have the ORC International certificate will take place at the same time, except for the Easter Regata, that includes only sailboats with International certificates.
Details on points for both groups are the same, and available on this link.
Membership in the ORC Sailing Association is attained in the same manner as previous years, by paying the annual membership fee. The amount of the annual membership fee remains unchanged, and is 1000 kunas.
For privately-owned sailboats, the membership is linked to the sailboat itself, regardless whether said sailboat has the Club or the International Certificate.
With regards to sailboats that will be rented from charter fleets, two options are present. First option is for the crew renting different sailboats from the charter fleet to link the membership fee to the skipper.
The second option is for the charter company to pay the membership fee in the amount of 2000 kunas, and that Fee will include all sailboats with ORC Certificates within their fleet.
The crews that are not member of the Association and that wish to compete in the Cup regattas will pay Entry Fees in the amount of 200 kunas per member, per regatta.
The Croatian Championship generates larger expenses than other regattas, due to the 3-day duration and the need for an augmented number of referees, and all these expenses will not be totally covered by the D-Marin's sponsorship. Therefore, an Entry Fee will be charged for this regatta, in the amount of 100 kunas per crew member for the members of the Association and 200 kunas per crew member for non- members.
Membership fee can be paid into the transfer account of the Association, available on the following link.
